About this experience

Your guide will greet you at the meeting point before accompanying you through some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Bernese Oberland, where mountain lakes, dramatic gorges, and Alpine valleys reveal the natural beauty for which Switzerland is renowned.

The day begins at Lungernersee, a peaceful lake surrounded by forests, mountain slopes, and traditional Swiss villages. Known for its remarkable turquoise waters, the lake offers one of the most picturesque settings in central Switzerland. As you take in the scenery, you'll discover how the surrounding landscape continues to support the agricultural traditions that have shaped life in the Alps for generations.

From here, continue to the Aare Gorge, one of Switzerland's most impressive natural formations. Carved over thousands of years by the powerful waters of the Aare River, this dramatic canyon slices through limestone rock, creating a narrow passage flanked by towering cliffs. Following the pathways and tunnels through the gorge, you'll experience the force of nature that helped shape much of the region's landscape.

The journey continues to Lake Brienz, celebrated for its striking turquoise colour and spectacular mountain setting. Here, board a scenic cruise and admire the Bernese Alps from a different perspective. Surrounded by forested slopes, waterfalls, and traditional lakeside villages, Lake Brienz offers some of the most memorable views in the region and a welcome opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of the water.

Upon reaching Interlaken, enjoy time to explore one of Switzerland's most famous resort towns. Situated between Lakes Brienz and Thun, Interlaken has welcomed travellers for generations and remains a gateway to the Jungfrau region. Stroll through the town centre and the famous Höhematte, where sweeping views extend towards the snow-covered peaks of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.

The final destination is Lauterbrunnen, a valley often regarded as one of the most beautiful in Europe. Framed by towering cliffs and alpine meadows, the valley is home to more than seventy waterfalls, including the famous Staubbach Falls, which plunge dramatically from the heights above the village. The peaceful atmosphere and spectacular scenery create a fitting conclusion to a day spent exploring the natural wonders of the Swiss Alps.

Your visit concludes in Lauterbrunnen, bringing an end to an unforgettable exploration of alpine lakes, mountain landscapes, and some of the most spectacular scenery in Switzerland. Your guide will then accompany you back to the original meeting point.
