About this experience
The contrast between Lauterbrunnen and Schilthorn is part of what makes this tour memorable. In the morning, you'll stand beside Staubbach Falls as water drops nearly 300 metres from the cliffs above the valley. A few hours later, you'll be high above the Bernese Oberland at Schilthorn, surrounded by some of the most famous mountain scenery in Switzerland.
After visiting Staubbach Falls, the journey continues towards Mürren and onward by Schilthorn cable car. As the cabins climb higher, forests and waterfalls give way to rugged peaks and open Alpine landscapes. The views continue to expand with every stage of the ascent.
At 2,970 metres above sea level, Schilthorn offers panoramic views of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The summit is also known for its connection to James Bond. Scenes from On Her Majesty's Secret Service were filmed here, and visitors can explore the Bond-inspired exhibits at Spy World before visiting the famous revolving restaurant, Piz Gloria.
While the James Bond Schilthorn connection attracts visitors from around the world, the scenery is equally impressive. On clear days, the mountain views stretch far beyond the surrounding valleys, creating one of the most rewarding viewpoints in the region.
