About this experience
This journey brings together two places that show very different sides of Switzerland. The first stop is Rhine Falls Schaffhausen, where the River Rhine drops over a wide rock ledge and creates the largest waterfall in Europe. Standing close to the viewing platforms, you can hear the force of the water long before you reach the falls themselves.
The day then slows down at Lenzburg Castle Switzerland, a hilltop fortress that has overlooked the surrounding landscape for almost a thousand years. Unlike many castles that are known for royal luxury, Schloss Lenzburg feels closely connected to everyday Swiss history, from medieval defence to regional life and local legends. Visiting both landmarks in one day creates an interesting contrast: one shaped by the power of nature and the other by centuries of human settlement and change.
